New Americana Pincushion Basket

OK...I am getting into the Patriotic mode, I am always Patriotic, but with the Celebration of the Birth of our country coming up, I wanted to make something special, so here is my newest pincushion basket.

Here are my newest Pincushion baskets. I seem to be making them larger & larger. The bear one is 4 inches across & 3 3/4 inches high.

Needle Felted Pin Cushion Baskets

For some time now I have been making small baskets to use for making needle felted pin cushions. I really enjoy being able to combine my favorite crafts all in one. This one is the Burgandy Rose that is in the background picture here on my blog. The basket is natural & burgandy round reed woven in triple weave. The pincushion is gold merino wool with burgandy merino wool for the rose. Each of the 12 petals were needle felted seperately & then needle felted in place to form the flower.
